Last Day of School!

Cell-o-brating the end of our Cells unit!

To wrap up our science unit on Cells, students made edible plant and animal cells.  Students used either graham crackers or rice cakes, and built their models with frosting, M&Ms, jelly beans, licorice, gum drops, Nerds, Gushers, and Fruit by the Foot.

Happy Pi Day!

March 14, or 3/14, is Pi Day!

We celebrated by reading Sir Cumference and the First Round Table and Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi.

Then we watched some Pi video clips and explored Pi by measuring the circumference and diameter of different circles and round objects.

In the afternoon… we ate pie, of course!
