March 14, or 3/14, is Pi Day!
We celebrated by reading Sir Cumference and the First Round Table and Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi.
Then we watched some Pi video clips and explored Pi by measuring the circumference and diameter of different circles and round objects.
In the afternoon… we ate pie, of course!
Here are some great links that will help you find out some more information about Pi!
This is a blog for my 5th grade class at MEH.
The tabs at the top will take you to pages focused on each of our core subjects. Each page will contain links to web pages, games, and activities for the topics and units we will be working on this year.
In addition, I will post important updates on the blog throughout the year.
Additional class information for the 2012-2013 school year can be found at Mrs. Brown & Ms. Strassner’s class webpage.
